Full moons mark the culmination of a lunar cycle, heightening emotions and energy, prompting reflection, celebration and release. Full moons invite us to gather, celebrate, and give gratitude to all we have gained and moved through over the past month. Simultaneously, providing a time to let go and release whatever no longer serves and empowers us.
Together we will flow through a 60-minute yin yoga sequence, followed by a full moon ritual, a brief journaling practice with prompts, and ending with a sharing circle.
Yin yoga is an ancient practice that embodies a slow, meditative approach. Unlike yang yoga, which focuses on muscle strength, yin invites passive stretching, fostering a profound sense of relaxation and inner calm guided by bodily sensations. Through holding postures for extended periods, it targets deep layers of fascia, connective tissues, and joints often untouched by the superficial heating of the yang.
